Berry Smoothie Pops

 

Ingredients

 

1/4 Cup Sugar

1 Tbsp. corn syrup

1 pound assorted stawberries, blueberries, blackberries,

        raspberries

8 tsp. fresh lime juice

6 oz. plain yogurt

 

Directions

 

Bring the sugar, corn syrup, and 1/2 C. water to a boil in a small saucepan.  Remove from heat and cool.  In 2 batches puree the berries, cooled syrup and lime using a blender, until smooth.  Stir the berry puree and yogurt together in a large mixing bowl.

Pour the mixture into popsicle molds, leaving about 1/2" at the top because the mixture will expand when it freezes.  Follow your popsicle mold manufacturer's instructions and freeze until solid.  Freezing usually takes approx. 4 hours.

 

 

 

 

 

 Applesauce

 

5 pounds apples peeled and cored(10 lbs. + 7 qts. for canning)

1 cup Brown Sugar

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

1/8 tsp. nutmeg

2 Cups water

Boil apples and water 10 min.

Blend to texture. (I like to use food processor and leave chunks)

Put back in pan.  Add rest of ingredients.

Boil 1 min.

 

Put in containers and freeze or use Boiling water bath and process for 20 min.
